Sally Ivaldi Obituary

Sally A. Ivaldi, 73, of Glastonbury, CT passed away peacefully at St. Francis Hospital on June 15, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on December 16, 1947 in Danbury, CT to Harriet (Singer) and Leo Susnitzky. Sally grew up in Brewster, NY and graduated from Brewster High School in 1965. She then went off to the University of Pittsburgh, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in 1969. While attending PITT she met the man of her dreams, Ernest Ivaldi Jr. They married in May of 1969. 

Sally was an avid traveler who loved going out to see the world; visiting different states and other countries. After her retirement  from her long time position as billing manager at the law office of Pomeranz, Drayton, and Stabnick she got involved in volunteering in her local community. She volunteered at Hockanum Valley Community Center supporting their counseling department and was an active member of Beth Shalom B’nai Isreal congregation, serving as co-president of the sisterhood chapter, as well as serving on the board as VP of administration and VP of membership. 

Along with her parents, Sally was predeceased by her husband Ernest Jr who passed away 26 years ago. Sally is survived by her two children, son Michael Ivaldi and his wife Lisa, and daughter, Debra Carlson and her husband Benjamin; sister, Ellen Golden; sister in law, Jean Dickson. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Lauren, Josh, Allesandra, Michael, Alyssa, Evan, and Lucas. Also, her great grandchildren Madison and Mackenzie. Sally will be missed by her vast network of friends that not only span across Connecticut but the nation. 

A funeral service will be held at Beth Sholom B'nai Israel on Friday June 18th 2021 at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery in Glastonbury. To view a livestream of this service or to sign the online guestbook please visit www.blumensteinfunerals.com
